A couple of Ammonites from Montbrun, France

Here are a couple of ammonites from Montbrun, France. They are from the Valanginian epoch of the Lower Cretaceous.

First up is Protetragonites quadreisulcatum which looks like it may be a heteromorph in that the coils of it's shell do not touch.

Neocomites neocomiensis looks more like a normal Ammonite. The suture lines are preserved along with the shell ornamentation (ribbed surface).
