Ostracod Bonnemaia

Below is a new (to me) Ostracod species that I found while exploring an exposure of the Rose Hill Formation (Early Silurian).







Also found in association are these Tentaculites:




I only found a few pieces that had fossils while exploring the exposure since the formation is predominantly olive gray shale that weathers reddish brown and is very fragile. It was also very cold and snowing so I didn't stay long.
