Homotelus bromidensis trilobite from Oklahoma

The Asaphid trilobite below is called Homotelus bromidensis and comes from Carter county, Oklahoma. It is a member of the same family as Isotelus and looks very similar. This fossil shows the trilobite in it's defensive enrolled position.

This specimen is an old Geological Enterprises fossil that was collected in the Criner Hills of Carter County, Oklahoma. It comes from the Bromide formation which is dated to the middle Ordovician (Sandbian stage of the ICS, Blackriverian in the classic N. American stages).
